What We Believe
God is more important than people, and people are more important than things. Grace Church focuses on ministering to God through worship; much as David did in his tabernacle. While God comes first, people always take priority over things, buildings or programs.
Repentance is not a dirty word! We all need a chance to get sin out of our lives, and to be restored to right relationship with God and man.
Activating the gifts of every person is a goal for Grace Church. All have a place to serve in the body of Christ!
Created to Worship. Called to Prayer. Committed to Christ and the work of the cross.
Equipping the saints is the primary call of the local church. Grace Church exists to Equip, Edify and Encourage people to live Every day as successful Christians, and to Enjoy the presence of God.
The result of our sin separates us from God. That’s our condition and we have no way out of it on our own. We can’t work our way out, we can’t earn our way out, we can’t perform our way out. God’s justice requires perfection. He requires absolute sinlessness. But we constantly sin and fall short. When we sin we are committing a crime against the judge of the universe and since God’s justice is perfect he will not let crime go unpunished.
God sent His Son to rescue us from our predicament. Jesus came to earth and lived a sinless life and then took on himself the punishment for our sin. While our sin was placed on him, the righteousness he earned by living a sinless life was placed on those who trust in him. – John 8:46; Hebrews 4:15; 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22 –
Jesus paid it all. He bore our sin. That doesn’t mean that he sinned, but he willfully took our sins on as his responsibility and paid the price for them that we should have paid; that is death. Jesus was hung on a cross and killed for our sins. The bible teaches that on the cross Jesus exchanged beauty for ashes, his perfection for our imperfection, his obedience for our disobedience, his intimacy with God the Father for our distance from God the Father, his blessing for our cursing, and his life for our death. Jesus died for us. He was a substitute for us. His death was in our place and solely for our benefit – not his. God’s anger should have been directed at us for our sin, but instead Jesus took that penalty in our place. – Isaiah 53:6; 2 Corinthians 5:21 –
Statement of Faith
The Holy Scriptures
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, irrevocable and complete Word of God.
1 JOHN 5:7
We believe God is Triune: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the three in one.
The Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience he fell from perfection.
Basis of Salvation
JOHN 3:16; ROMANS 5:8, ROMANS 10:9, 10
We believe that while we were still sinners Christ died for us, signing the legal pardon of all who believe on Him and acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord.
Salvation Through Grace
We believe that before salvation we have no righteousness of our own and must come to God through the righteousness of Christ.
Repentance and Acceptance
I JOHN 1:9
We believe that upon sincere repentance and a wholehearted acceptance of Christ as Lord, we are justified before God.
The New Birth
I CORINTHIANS 5:17; GALATIANS 2:20; JOHN 3:5-7
We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is the result of being born of the Spirit of God.
Daily Christian Life
We believe that it is the will of God that we live a lifestyle that is entirely devoted to God that demonstrates a determination to be growing constantly in the Faith.
We believe that baptism by immersion, in water, is an outward sign of the inward work of salvation.
The Table of the Lord (Communion)
I CORINTHIANS 11:28
We believe in the commemoration of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolic use of bread and the juice of the vine.
The Holy Spirit
ACTS 1:8; 2:4, JOHN 16:13A, JOHN 14:26, EPHESIANS 4:10-11, GALATIANS 5:22-23
We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent on the day of Pentecost, and is still sent today, to fill the believer with power, to give gifts that enable us to minister, to guide us into all truth and to provide comfort. As believers mature they begin to show the fruit of a spirit-filled life.
Moderation and Balance
We believe that all truth must be balanced with other scriptural truth in order to avoid any extreme or fanaticism, and we believe that moderation should show forth in our daily walk as a believer.
JOHN 4:24, PSALM 150
We believe that “acceptable” and “true” worship is prescribed by God Himself in His Word. This embodies individual and corporate expressions of joyous praise and thanksgiving as well as reverent humbling of ourselves as an expression of our adoration of Him.
The Second Coming
I THESSALONIANS 4:16-17
We believe that the second coming of Christ is literal and inevitable.

We believe that everyone will stand before God in final judgment, and there receive eternal reward or eternal judgment.
JOHN 14:2; REVELATION 7:15-17
We believe that Heaven is a literal place, eternally existent.
REVELATION 20:10, 15
We believe that hell is a literal place of eternal torment for all who reject the Lord Jesus.
JAMES 5:20; MARK 16:15; 2 CORINTHIANS 5:18-21
We believe that soul-winning is the Great Commission given to the Church.
Tithes and Offerings
MALACHI 3:10, 2 CORINTHIANS 9:7, HEBREWS 7:8
We believe that the method ordained of God for the support and spread of His cause is by the giving of tithes and free-will offerings.
I PETER 2:24; MATTHEW 8:17; 18: 18-19; JAMES 5:14-16; I CORINTHIANS 2:9; MARK 16:15-18; MATTHEW 24:25; MARK 13:31; LUKE 21:33)
We believe that healing is the provision of Christ to heal the sick in response to the exercise of faith, the prayer of faith, the prayer of agreement, anointing with oil, the gifts of healing or the laying on of hands. We believe that this provision of Christ is for everyone today.
Tolerance Within the Body of Christ
1 JOHN 4:7, ROMANS 2:18
We believe in Christian tolerance to all who believe in the deity and redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Unity, Liberty, and Love
We believe that in major doctrines there must be unity; in minor doctrines liberty; and in all things, love.
